How schools can upgrade in times of digitalization
The aim of the DigitalPakt School is to expand and promote the technical infrastructure of the schools, but also the level of knowledge of the teachers, as well as the offerings to the students. In this way, future-oriented training is to be made possible.
In order to access the DigitalPakt School funding, you must go through the following steps:

Step 1
Create a pedagogical concept
Think about which tools you would like to use in teaching in the future and how this should be done.
Use this to determine the equipment required for the entire school.
step 2
Send the finished concept to the school authority
For most schools, the school authority is the municipality; for private schools, it can be clubs or other sponsoring structures. After you have sent the concept to the school authority, they will check it alongside concepts from other schools for quality and consistency of content.
step 3
The school authority applies for the funding
The school authority applies to the state's “notified body” for the total amount of all inquiries made by the schools. The school authority is also allowed to submit multiple applications if some schools want to start quickly. Each state must name an application body and publishes this in the state's funding announcement, which is coordinated with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

The state’s “notified body” approves the applications and pays out the funding
The state's funding announcement specifies the principle according to which a state distributes funds. (e.g. basic amount for each school, plus a certain amount per student, taking the school size into account)
