How schools can upgrade in times of digitalization
The goal of the DigitalPakt School is to expand and promote the technical infrastructure of schools, as well as the knowledge of teachers and the offerings to students. This will enable a future-oriented education.
To receive funding from the DigitalPakt School, you must complete the following steps:
Step by step instructions
Step 1
Create a pedagogical concept
Think about which tools you would like to use in your lessons in the future and how you would like to do so.
Use this to determine the equipment required for the entire school.
Step 2
Send the finished concept to the school authority
For most schools, the school's sponsor is the municipality; for private schools, it may be clubs or other sponsoring organizations. After you submit your concept to the school's sponsor, they will review it alongside concepts from other schools for quality and consistency.
Step 3
The school authority applies for the funding
The school authority applies to the state's "designated body" for the total sum of all applications submitted by schools. Furthermore, the school authority is permitted to submit multiple applications if some schools wish to start quickly. Each state must designate an application body, which is published in the state's funding announcement, which is coordinated with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Step 4
The state's "notified body" approves the applications and disburses the funding
The state's funding announcement specifies the principle by which a state will allocate funds (e.g., a base amount for each school, plus a certain amount per student, taking school size into account).
