To improve the technical equipment of students during the coronavirus crisis, the federal government plans to provide €500 million for home computer instruction. Students in need will receive a €150 subsidy for the purchase of appropriate devices such as tablets, notebooks, or Chromebooks, the leaders of the grand coalition announced early Thursday morning after a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) in Berlin.
