Professional WiFi for the d3con conference
On March 15th, the d3con took place in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The organizers rented the #WLAN of the Wifirockstars for the event with 1,500 top-class participants from the digital industry. D3con 2016 – Rocked! The largest German event about the future of digital advertising was hosted by the Wifirockstars equipped with an extensive infrastructure. For the sixth time, more than 1,500 participants from leading agencies, publishers and service providers met in Hamburg.
The sold-out event took place in the Chamber of Commerce, which is a listed building. This was technically limited, which resulted in special measures to optimize it. After quick planning, the conference, which took place over two floors, was networked. In addition to the guest WiFi, the rock stars supported their colleagues from #FischerAppelt & #FORK with their "GIF it yourself box".
WLAN at the d3con event in numbers: During the #d3con, more than 550 participants used the #freeWlan at the peak. The Wi-Fi utilization was around 10 %. A total of 68 gigabytes of data were downloaded over the WLAN over the course of the day.
